Frequently Asked Questions

How can I get there?

The easiest and most accessible route would be the following:

From the 401

Take exit 474B from ON-401

Follow Route 45 through Baltimore, Fenella and Alderville

After passing Alderville and entering Roseneath, you will be turning left on Merrill Rd. followed by another left on 7th Line

Follow 7th Line down to Parker Dr. and we are the first property on your left after turning right on Parker Dr.

Where can I park my car?

We have a designated outdoor parking area where all cars must be parked directly across from the camp office.

What time is check-in and checkout? Are late checkout options available?

Check-in is at 3 PM, and check-out is by 11 AM. If you are arriving slightly earlier or need that extra hour of sleep, we should be able to accommodate it, but please check with us first. If you wish to stay for the remainder of the day and the site is not otherwise reserved, an additional day use fee will be charged. Day use is until 6 PM  and will be billed at half the daily cottage rate for your booking. Day use is subject to availability.

Am I allowed to bring my own firewood?

We do allow guests to bring  their own firewood but please consider that moving firewood can spread invasive and destructive insect species such as the Emerald Ash Borer and Asian long-horned beetle. Firewood is available for purchase at the camp office onsite as well.

Is linen provided ex. towels, sheets, pillow covers?

As part of our commitment to guest safety and hygiene, we do not provide linen for any cottages however all mattresses will have mattress protectors present. We strongly encourage guests to pack  their own essentials for their stay. This includes soap or body wash, towels (beach towels included), linens and pillows.

Are candles permitted in the cottage or on the deck?

The lighting of candles is strictly prohibited on the property. LED flameless candles are more than welcome.

What if I lose my cottage key?

A lost key involves more than the mere replacement of the one key, it involves the lock having to be replaced as well as additional key copies needing to be cut for the new lock. Lost keys are subject to a $100 charge per key.

Is Willowood Camp pet friendly?

While we love animals of all shapes and sizes, our pet policy is limited to dogs only, with a maximum of one dog per cottage regardless of breed or size. A fee of $35/day will apply to your booking.

Why do you have quiet hours?

The reason for quiet hours might seem obvious, but what might be less obvious is that it’s not always simply because people are sleeping. Local ordinances are being observed during the property’s quiet hours. While families and early risers might appreciate the peace and quiet, these rules are also a necessity when it’s the law.
